I decided to visit Yayoi Kusama museum in Tokyo where it is dedicated to the artwork of the avant garde Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama, most famous for her signature polka dot motif.

When I was in design school my tutor was sharing some presentation slides on Yayoi Kusama. I never thought that I would be able to visit her museum someday. As I’m in Japan I decided to visit the museum my colleague Ma.

We bought tickets from online and note that tickets are available only in online sites and it costs 1100yen. There are time slots and we decided to choose the 16:00pm slot. I think it's great they have an arrange time slot otherwise they cannot enjoy much when it's overcrowded. The museum is a 4 story building located near Shinjuku area. The exhibition we attend is ‘The vision of fantasy that we have never seen is this splendor’ which presents her recent works over the past ten years with the theme of her diverse visions.
There were two art installations we experienced during our visit to the museum. First we went to the art installation Infinity Mirrored Room - A Wish for Human Happiness Calling from Beyond the Universe. It was quite a fun and interesting place to experiment on infinity.

Second we entered a room full of sunflowers and this art installation called Flower Obsession. Visitors are welcomed to grab a sunflower and positioned within the exhibition room. It's an interesting idea and quite fun as well.

Finally we went to the rooftop to check the big flower installation. This art installation Flowers that speak all about my heart given to the sky 2018. As we went in the evening it's ideal to play with shadows and the art installations.

We had a great time enjoying the colourful art installations of Yayoi Kusama. As it's a small museum we went twice to all the art installations to have a good time.
